Whether it’s your first or 100th time buying a gaff, it’s important to remember, not all of our gaff styles will fit every body. Gaffs are technical garments that fit best when body shape is taken into consideration (remember, these are just suggestions- you are welcome to purchase any style you like!)

There are two different things to know about your body before making a choice: “How round is your bum?” and “What shape are your hips?” We know there are just as many different hip and bum shapes as beautiful people in the universe. But to make it a little simpler, we’ve organized it with three general bum shapes (very round, slightly round, not round) and three general hip shapes (triangle, rectangle, inverted triangle).

One special note: If you are someone with a longer torso, we would not recommend the hipster. It is designed with a very low rise and so may end up being too short front to back.

                  All sizing in inches

                  Custom Sizing

We encourage you to send your measurements for a customized fit.  Please measure all that apply to your purchase IN INCHES and send in the "custom measurements" box
Girth: Measure from one shoulder, around the body vertically, through the legs and back to the same shoulder. Make sure you are standing tall. If your measuring tape is not long enough, you can use a piece of string and then measure that.
Chest/Bust: Measure around the fullest part of the chest, with arms relaxed down at sides and without a bra. Keep the measuring tape parallel to the floor. Keep  the tape comfortably snug but not tight, which will include measuring
the space between the chest tissue. Do not squeeze the chest tissue flat.
Ribs/Underbust: Around your ribcage where a bra band sits. Measure on the exhale.
Waist: Measure around natural waistline, which appears as a crease when bending to one side.
High Hip: Measure just over the hip bones, where you would wear a low rise bottom.
Low Hip: Measure around fullest part of the body including the butt with feet together. Keep the measuring tape parallel to the floor.
When taking your underbust measurements, make sure to measure under the breast tissue

We always suggest ordering your items custom sized rather than selecting a standard size. Custom sizing is always free! We can offer some modifications to our styles, which may come with added costs. Please note that any alterations to something other than sizing will make your item final sale and will not be eligible for our alteration services. Style modifications mean that we can’t guarantee the fit of your item the way we can with the patterns we have developed.

If you have specific accessibility needs, please reach out so we can do what we can to make your item work for you!

We aren’t currently offering custom projects for new designs and styles, and we are not taking requests for discontinued items.

We do not accept returns due to a change of mind or if you have purchased the wrong standard size, so please choose carefully. Our unique size chart is posted and it is the buyer's responsibility to check their measurements and message us with any questions BEFORE purchasing.

Only custom sized items are eligible for our alterations policy. Custom sized items are eligible for a free alteration if the fit is off by more than an inch (due to the fluctuation of stretch garments). Each item that we ship is checked for accuracy to the measurements provided in your order.

If you believe there is a manufacturing error, please reach out to us within 7 days of receiving your order so we can investigate! If we determine an alteration is necessary, we will ask that you send the item back to us to make the adjustment.

Any modifications to an item other than sizing (ex. style modifications) will make it final sale and will not be eligible for our alteration services.

All returns must arrive to us in the same condition they were received in. For sanitary reasons and our health safety, if you have worn your item, please wash and dry it before returning it. We will not accept a return/alteration on a damaged or unwashed piece, and your piece will be donated.

Sale and Ready to Ship items are final sale.

Items received through Point of Pride or other community programs are exempt from exchanges or returns.

We accept cancellations within one week of purchase.

When you place an order, the fabrics may not be the same as previous orders. We choose to source fabric from deadstock or pre-made sources rather than ordering fabric to be made new for me. For all fabrics, wash in cold water and hang to dry. For swimwear, rinse in fresh water after every use and dry flat in the shade. Lingerie (anything with straps) should be hand washed and hung to dry.

We’ve come up with a system where you can now select the gusset width on every bottom. Which basically helps let us know how much room we build into any garment.

                  You can now select from:

Narrow: “Standard” fit undies, usually found in a “women’s” section.

Wide: The way we make all our Wide Front Bamboo undies and Mesh Gaffs already. Room for front bits, tuck or not. Also great if you just need a bit of extra room for innie bits.

Roomy: A bit more than the wide fit- for folks with a bit more down there, or a comfier fit without a tuck.

Tekka T. (New York, United States)
Feels like panties, looks like how a gaff ought to

I can't comment on the longevity of these gaffs yet because I haven't worn em long-- though the seams look pretty robust-- but they knock all the others I've tried before out of the water, and just feel really good to wear.

I ordered the boyshorts (in both a wide and roomy gusset) because I was worried that like the other gaffs I'd tried before there wouldn't be enough flattening (the point of a gaff) with something like a thong or hipster fit. And because I strongly dislike wearing thong gaffs, they feel precarious and uncomfortable for me. These on the other hand flatten amazingly, feel like wearing regular panties, and without feeling constricting on my gennies. The wide gusset feels secure on my gennies while the roomy feels even more so, with slight tightness on my inner thighs* with the latter; in most outfits the wide would probably serve me well, I only would bother with the roomy for micro skirts and booty shorts (though I might need a different fit for booty shorts anyway) and the like, and even then only because I'm noided about showing if moving hard or stretching and I want to be able to feel completely free to spread my legs even in skimpy outfits. I can only speak to the black option, but it works very well to diffuse any visual bulge from the front and side-- dark colors, especially black, are best on gaffs for that reason (though if it's going to be under pants, tights, leggings, or a bodycon dress or skirt and no one's going to see it then go wild, get the color you like best). Visually the underwear have a pleasing simple and practical look going on from the front, with your ass showing from the back through the mesh there; that last will take some adjusting to for me. If ya don't like that you can probably wear a pair of panties you do like under or over it. I imagine the seams show up a tiny bit under tight clothes, I personally never pay attention to that.

*This seems to be semi consistent with other reviews, so I'd suggest sending a custom measurement of your thighs to avoid this. I used a standard size.

Note on gusset sizes: I'm neither huge nor tiny and a wide fit me comfortably, flattened amazingly, and felt secure for movement, stretches, and opening my legs wide. I only would wear a roomy fit if you're particularly noided about literally even the idea of any break in silhouette showing where your inner thighs meet the seam while you're on the floor in booty shorts spreading your legs as wide as you can in the air. If you've had an orchi you definitely don't need a roomy.

Seeing as these work so well and feel so quality, I'll probably get a hipster or cheeky fit at some point after I've tested just how robust these are after many wearings and washings.

Sincere gratitude to the origami customs crew for making proper gaffs in the style of how clothes out to made, to last. I wish my younger self had had these years ago, and am glad others are getting them now. I'll for sure recommend these to all my friends. I personally am excited to think about other camab trans people feeling more comfortable wearing what they wanna wear and as a result getting the chance to see more hotties walking around feeling themselves.

                  Great Product, Great Service

I wasn't sure what I (enby/genderfluid) was expecting for my first gaff, but I'm happy to report that it's great for girlmoding, or even just fitting into that tight pair of jeans. Everything is held in place well, though you do need at least some know how on tucking to make it more effective. The customer service is excellent, and promptly sent a replacement when my product was lost in transit from its packaging. I'll definitely be supporting origami again in the near future!
