All of our binders just got a redesign! They now feature: more even compression, flatter and more secure fit, comfortable hidden seams and smooth edges, more streamlined angled straps to ease tension on the shoulders and for a greater range of motion, and a shorter line to eliminate rolling.
Binders are used to compress the chest tissue. Some are made to be used under clothes and some are opaque and can be used to swim. The powermesh offers moderate binding while allowing for some flexibility to make sure breathing is not restricted.
Binders will fit very tightly when you first get them, and will relax over the first few wears.
I know the wait time may be intimidating but having my binder customer made, it was worth it. The material used is breathable. I don’t sweat in it like other binders I’ve used.
Very comfortable, works great :)
I super appreciate this binder! Until recently I didn't know I could even wear one. For disability reasons I can't wear garments with tight straps over my shoulders, and can't put on tight garments either over my head, or by shimmying into them. I also couldn't do up a side closure by myself. Kita from Origami worked with me on coming up with a solution to all these issues, and on figuring out the exact measurements needed (and which colour would work best with my skin tone) -- and now I have a comfortable front-closure binder I love. I can do it up myself, and it flattens my chest extremely well, but still allows me to breathe super comfortably. (I mean, when doing usual life things. I haven't tried exercising in it, but I wouldn't recommend that as a rule.)
One thing to consider about strapless binders is that you can end up with a little chest fat overflow at the top, by the underarms. For me it's not really noticeable once I have clothes on (I am a thinnish person). If you are able to wear a binder with straps, that might be the better choice re: this issue -- but for those of us who prefer/need the strapless ones, this is the one I'd passionately recommend. (Email to ask for a front closure if you also have trouble with a side one!) It's super well-made, it has comfortable 'cuffs' at the top and bottom, so there is zero chafing, it breathes well, it doesn't hurt my delicate stomach, and the compression is uniform yet comfortable. I really like the hooks for closing it; they don't require a lot of strength in pulling because they're so closely spaced, and I found them easy to thread together.
Thank you so much, Origami Customs.
The binder fits amazingly well and is actually really comfortable. It works great and allows me to comfortably wear shirts that I wouldn't before, plus with the mesh it's very breathable compared to my other binders. Definitely worth the wait!
It's especially been great as the past few weeks have been disgustingly hot out, and it makes me more comfortable wearing tank tops and v-necks out and about without straps showing (and I can wear it under light/white shirts)!
This product is wonderful! I've only been wearing it for about 2 weeks now, but I can already say that this is one of the best binders I've worn. Not scratchy and nothing really digs into your sides or chest; due to it being strapless you'd think there'd be a lot of adjusting but it stays in place very well.
It's not at all summer where I am, but I already know I'm going to feel a lot more confident without straps showing when I wear a tank top or wide-necked t-shirts. The service I received was also lovely, very kind, and professional.
The package arrived in a timely fashion despite warnings that the process would probably take longer than usual. All in all, a great experience, and I will be shopping here in the future.
